Terrasos strengthens its impact on conservation: The Mata de Lata Natural Reserve joins Resnatur.
Today, we proudly share a milestone that reinforces our work in structuring and operating environmental investments across the region: the Mata de Lata Natural Reserve has been officially accepted as an associated reserve of the Colombian Network of Civil Society Natural Reserves Association (Resnatur).
This affiliation, formalized on March 16, 2026, under Board Resolution No. 226, represents more than an administrative step; it is the validation of a technical and ethical commitment to Colombia’s biodiversity.
The importance of networks in private conservation
For Terrasos, interdisciplinary collaboration and engagement with both public and private entities are fundamental pillars for designing successful sustainability strategies. By joining Resnatur, the Mata de Lata Natural Reserve becomes part of a conservation ecosystem that promotes nature-based solutions and facilitates knowledge management within the sector.
Integrating our reserves into national networks accelerates the achievement of our goals by enabling us to:
- Exchange best practices: As continuous “learners,” we value research and the implementation of lessons learned from other stakeholders in the sector.
- Strengthen transparency: Alignment between our overarching purpose and our actions is what defines us as industry leaders.
- Enhance environmental and social value: Transforming biodiversity investments into sustainable financial and ecological assets.
A forward-looking vision: Toward exceptional conservation
From Terrasos’ leadership perspective, protecting Latin America’s threatened ecosystems requires perseverance and a non-negotiable commitment to excellence. The acceptance of Mata de Lata into Resnatur demonstrates that we are enabling the right solutions for biodiversity to thrive.
We will remain focused on our mission, confident in our ability to achieve the goals we believe in, and committed to fostering a team-driven vision that involves our collaborators, communities, and conservation networks alike. The future of our environment depends on these strategic alliances and on our ability to act as facilitators of meaningful transformation on the ground.
