In August, a Terrasos territorial team, led by Julio Álvarez and Alejandra Cárdenas, conducted a socialization workshop—a technical roundtable—with the Corporación Autónoma Regional de Cundinamarca (CAR). In this forum, Terrasos, a Colombian company with a specialization in environmental investment structuring and operations, presented its commitment to conservation and restoration of threatened ecosystems through investments in exceptional projects such as Habitat Banks. Currently, Terrasos manages 12 Habitat Banks, covering a total area of 5,900 hectares.

During the meeting, a review was conducted of the national regulations, decrees, and resolutions related to environmental compensation and investment mechanisms, as well as the monitoring processes carried out by the Ministry of the Environment and Sustainable Development and the relevant environmental authorities. The meeting highlighted the positive impact of Terrasos' projects in the regions where it operates, including the generation of new economic and social opportunities. The challenges and solutions associated with the operation of Habitat Banks were also discussed, and the advantages of this model were presented.

The workshop, which included the presentation of concepts such as the roadmap, baseline survey, monitoring, establishment plan, matrix, zoning, conservation, biodiversity, investment, composition and structuring, provided an opportunity for dialogue and consultation, allowing for the resolution of doubts and the sharing of experiences.
