Terrasos has reached a significant milestone with the signing of 80 conservation agreements, representing a commitment to the preservation and restoration of nearly 2,000 hectares in the Bajo Cauca region of Antioquia. This area is renowned for its environmental and social complexities. Over the past two years, we have conducted more than 24 participatory workshops, engaged with at least 300 individuals, and visited over 20 villages in the rural areas of Nechí, Antioquia.

The application of the Fast Track methodology enabled the conversion of over 80 plots of land, representing 237,000 native tree planting opportunities, in support of the @Mineros Aluvial compensation strategy. Furthermore, this project has resulted in the protection of strategic ecosystems and the promotion of ecological connectivity in two regional protected areas. It has also facilitated the inclusion and formalization of local associations, the bankarization of Environmental Custodians, and community strengthening in sustainable production.

These initiatives play a pivotal role in biodiversity conservation and offer substantial benefits to rural communities.
